Carnegie China is an East Asia based research center, with operations in Beijing and Singapore, focused on China’s regional and global role.

Part of the Carnegie Endowment, a global think tank headquartered in Washington DC but with centers across the world, Carnegie China brings together leading policy experts and practitioners from China, Southeast Asia, and the world to engage in collaborative dialogue and research. The center works to examine China’s role in its region, from both Chinese and especially Southeast Asian perspectives, as well as China’s foreign policy and U.S.-China relations. Carnegie China works with Carnegie’s other global centers to host conferences, roundtables, seminars, and closed-door briefings, and to publish timely and incisive analysis on the most pressing global issues, including international economics and trade; energy and climate change; nonproliferation and arms control; and security threats touching China’s role in Asia and the world.
