Lovin' Bluegrass by Carol McDuffie

8 years GodTube shared a video of The Gospel Plowboys shot at a Christmas gathering. David had pressed me to include the plan of salvation from the first video I shot of the band. I told him to trust me....he did reluctantly. ;) Now this video has reached over 5 Million views. So many unexpected things came from this video for all involved. Hopefully, souls were saved. Rita became an adopted sister who has never let me down. The best present a gal can be given. If there ever was a real deal these fellas are it. I'm so thankful they carried on with Mike Jenkins leading the band....one of my favorite voices in bluegrass....quite a man of God behind the scenes too. Thanks for the memories. We traveled many a mile together.

Aunt Ruth passed on to gloryland yesterday around 2 am. We have many Ruth stories to tell. She was the most awesome spitfire one could ever meet. One day soon I will see her again. Until then I will feel her spirit every time I work hard or go thrift store shopping. She was better than a mother and like no other. Rest easy Ruth!

Very personal plea. The attached link will explain the important details. Please share. I want everyone out there to take this to heart and figure out a person who will follow your wishes, someone who will advocate for you and simply do what you would want done if you are not able to make medical decisions. I learned young how to advocate for my oldest son who was born with a cleft lip and palate. Since then the list has grown. I understand everything happens for a reason. Now, I will be bringing awareness to having a health power of attorney for everyone who comes in my path. Public speaking is up there on my biggest fears list so pray for me. I feel the Lord may ask me to go there. Please honor my aunt by having yourself sign a poa and notarize it asap. Especially important for grown single children. Ruth may of never recovered but we will never know because she wasn't given the opportunity to fight ... she loved living and totally was a fighter. She lost her only child suddenly almost two years ago, recovered from a stroke, brain tumor, chronic shingles that went inside her body, covid at 89, the loss of her husband, several falls and much more. My prayer had been that she lived to see her 90th birthday...she did in July. I should of simply prayed she didn't outlive her mind and shoot for 100.

Sde note....after her son passed I spent 7 months by her side helping her with her farm and anything she needed. We planted a garden, put a couple roofs on her house and her upholstery shop, shoveled chicken manure side by side and grew close...we found out we liked to do the same things. Being outside working hard. I only kept up with her one day and I am proud of that fact. Most couldn't claim that one. Ruth is one special lady. She was still clinging to life yesterday. I'm thankful she lived every day doing things her way. Stubborn to a fault. She still worked everyday at her upholstery shop after a brief absence to grieve her son.
