Born in Aachen/Germany I am playing rebetiko music since I was 8 years old, first on the bouzouki and then on the guitar. Together with my brother Christos on the bouzouki and our father Argyrios we had our first public appearance in the Lyceum of the dutch city Heerlen in 1981 when I was 14 year old. There after we played in Greek tavern's all over Germany and also on some events in Greece.
In 1994 we founded the rebetiko group "Lokovites" in Aachen and played on great public events.
Rebetiko was our first love and teached us everything about life. Rebetiko music gave us hope and strength while living as "aliens" in Germany. However we survived and are still playing rebetiko. :)
