About the Dilla remakes: most are either done to wrap my head around the process or on request. The Donuts remakes turned into me sharing my theory about Pro Tools being one of the key ingredients to the album, maybe moreso than the SP303. Now, the bio Dilla Time supports this case. Some other remakes i make if the instrumental hasn't been released.

If you are new to making beats or just music in general, i wanna say: don't think that everything has to be super complicated and intricate for it to be good, cool if thats your thing tho. Don't be opposed to learning new things. Find what it is that resonates with you, go with it.
