Amrita School of Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine (ASNSMM) is an academic and research institution established in early 2006, with a specific focus on developing cutting-edge translational research programs and offering advanced courses in the areas of Molecular Medicine, Nanobiotechnology, Nanoelectronics, Nanoengineering and Energy Science. Nestled within the sprawling Amrita healthcare campus in Kochi, ASNSMM was started as the first Nano-Bio Center in the country, under the leadership of Dr. Shantikumar V Nair, who is a leading figure in the area of nanomedicine, nanotechnology, material science and engineering, and among the best 2% scientists in the world according to Stanford University rankings. All faculty at the center have PhD degrees and international research experience, and active research funding by goverment and industry.
