I always loved how passionate he was about comic books. Pains me to slowly realize I won't get to hear him recap comic stories or rant about them anymore. RIP legend.

I stopped watching Comicstorian years ago, but he always held a special place in my heart since he introduced me to so many of my favorite comics, including Green Lantern and Flash. May he rest in peace. He will forever be missed

This one hurts a lot. Like your channel, he’s introduced me to so many new comic history and brought joy to me in times of hardship. Rest in peace Benny. You’re already missed.

This man was a key factor in why I started reading comic books, watched him when I was just a teenager. Can’t believe he’s gone.

Even though I fell out of watching his stuff and general ‘story recap’ comic YouTubers in favor of more analysis and information-based ones like this channel or OwenLikesComics, Comicstorian was one of my gateways into comics when I first got into Marvel and DC around 2014, introducing me to several stories like Blackest Night and the original run of Superior Spider-Man, so Benny’s channel still holds a place in my heart. RIP.

Feels like I just got the wind knocked out of me. You two were really the youtubers that got me into reading comics consistently almost 10 years ago now. This is terrible news. RIP 💙

Going to miss this guy. Some of his videos are what helped me find comic communities.

My step dad and I used to listen to him in the car after work. I still remember starting Rebirth together because of him. What a great guy.

I still find it hard to process what’s happening. I was just getting back into his work with Comicstorian too after a long time away. He was probably the second channel that got me into comics, found maybe a few weeks after I found yours. I hope you’re doing okay Drake. It’s a lot to take in right now for me is all.

Comic Drake
So for those that haven't heard, Benny Potter AKA Comicstorian has passed away. I've known Benny since he had about 20,000 subscribers and have been amazed to see him become the largest comic book channel on YouTube. Admittedly, we've grown apart immensely over the years, but I've always had respect for how he spread his intense love of this medium to millions and encouraged so many people to pick up their first comic.
Benny had the most energy out of any content creator I have ever met and he absolutely worked his ass off every single day on his content. Not to mention that he served his country well as a member of the army.
He is going to be greatly missed.
