The Charismatic Voice

73% funded in just 24 hours!!!

I'm overwhelmed with gratitude to all of you for your support. We're on our way to funding vocal research!

By now, I think you all know that this is about so much more than my curiosity surrounding how metal singers make monster noises. It's about the completing the picture of the entire larynx, applying that to all forms of singing, and paving the way for advancements in music therapy.

There's some great buzz about this in the news already. Check out these articles that were just released by Metal Injection and MetalSucks:

Metal Injection: metalinjection.net/news/the-charismatic-voice-laun…

Metal Sucks: www.metalsucks.net/2024/09/04/the-charismatic-voic…

I also just did an interview with CNN today and have more happening later this week! Whew.

I'm doing everything I can to get the word out. You can help by sharing awesome articles like these and much more on socials.

In case you didn't see it, here's a link to our Kickstarter Launch Video:

I just checked, we just passed the 75% mark. That's looking good for vocal therapy AND removing stigmas of metal music.

I hope to see your reaction to Linkin Park's new vocalist. I am stoked that they have reformed and have already released a new video and a short concert introducing her.

I would love to see a reaction video of Sierra Ferrell's music. She is in her mid 30s and is finally an emerging artist in country, bluegrass, roots or basically Americana music mixes. She has even song Jazz and Latin style music such as Tango and Calypso. She and her band performed their song, "Fox Hunt" on Jimmy Kimmel live and also performed their song, "American Dreaming" on Stephen Cobert show live in 2024. She performed recently at the Grand Ole Opry recently as well. She is in consideration for possibly Grammy nominations in Americana category. She is finally getting recognition. In her 20s she was just performing in local dive bars in West Virginia and much of her 20s she was homeless and traveling by train doing street performances to earn a living. Her originals are great and you can also find her on YouTube videos doing classic covers of Dolly Parton, Janis Joplin, the Beatles and others. She even done a Jazz cover of "Lullaby of Birdland" and did it well IMO. Hopefully you atleast check her music out even if you decide not to do a reaction video of Sierra Ferrell's music.

Dear Elizabeth, there is this Band i love called Seven Spires. Every member is close to perfection in my opinion and the Frontgirl Adrienne Cowan will really impress you. I don't think you have ever heard someone like her before. Every choir, orchestra and voiceline is made by herself and she can do it all. Musical, power, black metal, all kind of harshes, jazz, banshee....you choose. If someone is worthy of the name Bansheequeen, it's her. Also you could be interested in their writing of conceptalbums which are kind of an ongoing story with lots of poetry, philosophy and deepness in it while kind of in a fantasy setup. I highly recomend them to you, listen to them on your channel or in private But listen to them😄 Cheer

I discovered your channel with the analysis you made of Gojiras' opening olympic games ceremony, it was a masterpiece! I found great your research project with a goal of a final therapy. I m very into the 80's thats my generation U2 DM Simple minds and so much more. Today i was listening Bryan Ferry from Roxy Music, singing "more than this" thinking of you may be knowing or not his lovely voice. In same way i wonder if you know "the voice" the nickname of Midge Ure, he s a fantastic singer and i d like to know if he deserves his nickname. Sorry to be so long. Dear Elizabeth, not sure you read this bcs it's so many comment and messages for you. But if you want to listen another Asian Metal music (as you already listen to Babymetal), please make video commentary about Japanese's band named Dir en Grey, there's so many epic song but i recommend Different Sense, Diabolos, or Bugaboo, the balances of raw & clean vocal on that song so interesting.

Catt. She is from Germany and she is amazing. You would love her. Please check her out and consider putting her on your channel. She really deserves the recognition, and I think being seen by your audience would really help her too.

Ok. Rooting for you, by London Grammar. A mezzo soprano. In modern music I’m 10 whacka whacka whackas in on your drinking game. I’ll buy your next round if London Grammar doesn’t make you cry
