One of the students I feature the most @intuitivetennis is Shamir. His passion for the game has inspired other players in the tennis community.

However, some people doubt Shamir's current rating, which is 4.0 NTRP. Take a look at the comments underneath the latest Ema vs. Shamir match, and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

So, in 2024, Shamir not only started training more intensely and regularly but also started competing in more tournaments.

This weekend, he won a USTA 4.0 tournament by winning all his matches in straight sets.

Out of the 128 first-round matches, I got 95 correct. Many third-set tiebreaks on the women’s side went the other way, and there were two Lucky Losers that I wasn’t aware of when making my picks. So, I think getting 100+ was possible. The picks that hurt the most were Tabilo, Jarry, Linnete, and Sakkari because I had them going deep. 😩😩
