Daniela Lorenz, Paraguayan harp as solo instrument

On this channel, I present the Paraguayan harp as a solo instrument.
I grew up in a small Swiss mountain village. Early on, I discovered the music of Latin America. I studied rhythm, classical music, and piano at the Zurich Conservatory.

After my studies, I learned to play the Paraguayan harp from Marcelino Benítez in Switzerland, Nicolas Caballero in Madrid, and in Paraguay.

I promote the awareness of Latin American harp music here in Europe, arranging and composing for the Paraguayan harp. I teach the Paraguayan harp, have released CDs, and collaborate with other musicians. During the pandemic, I developed a video learning course through which one can independently learn to play this harp.

In 2022, I published a sheet music book featuring Latin American music for both pedal and lever harps. TV appearances and radio shows complement my activities.

I live in Zurich 🇨🇭 and continue my artistic journey.
