Some of you have asked me to send you a picture of “the Ladder of values” I talked about in the last video I posted. I didn’t realize you couldn’t really see it in my video, so here it is.
For those who haven’t seen the latest video yet, here is a picture of a ladder that represents the values of Del, who was a very kind and wise former coach in his 90s. I met him once, and he was impressed by how curious I was about life at such an early age, so he started sharing his wisdom with me.
At the end of the conversation, he pulled out his wallet and got this ladder. He literally said, “The first thing you have to define for a joyful and successful life are your values. Without knowing what your values are, you will lack purpose and direction in your life. If you take the time to sit with yourself and create your own ladder of values, starting with the most important to the least important one, and then align your actions with your values, you will live a good life.” He gave me his ladder that I always kept with me as well. It has helped me so much when I started my healing journey, and I hope it will for you too.
