Hailing from a small town off the coast of Northern Ireland, Rend Collective (Gareth Gilkeson, Chris Llewellyn, Ali Gilkeson, Patrick Thompson and Stephen Mitchell) wants to be known as a celebration band. The group’s authentic and energetic style of worship has attracted an international audience, with songs like Build Your Kingdom Here, My Lighthouse, and Counting Every Blessing. Their most recent albums have hit the highest non-Christian charting any worship album has ever achieved in the U.K.In 2018 Rend Collective sold out their hometown show at the SSE Arena in Belfast making it the largest attended Christian concert in the country. With good reason too, Rend Collective continually draw in fans across the world with their electric performances and a good dose of Northern Irish charm.

Like many of you, this last year has been one of losses and pain for us. Loss of time with loved ones, economic loss, unexpected medical diagnoses, and mental health battles all took their toll and honestly we came into the new year feeling a little apprehensive about what it would hold.
But the idea of the “Year of Jubilee” in the Bible really captured our imaginations. That yes, this world will have its struggles, but the vision for God’s kingdom is one of freedom, emancipation, debt forgiven and sin atoned! Even though we’ve been through so much, we can still live prophetically the vision of the kingdom of God— which is good news to ALL people. It’s in HIM we can claim our victory!

It's been six years since we brought out our first Christmas album (Campfire Christmas (Vol. 1) and every year since we'd ask ourselves if this was the year to write the next one-- but it never felt right. Then 2020 hit, and we (like most people!) were desperate for some joy in the midst of the chaos. And let us tell you, it was a joy to write this album.

The first song we're sharing with you is called "Today Is the Saviour's Day" and is out NOW! We need the hope of the Christmas story more than ever. To be reminded that Jesus came down into the dark chaos of life and brought hope like the world had never seen before.
Especially with everything going on this year in particular, the Saviour's day feels even more significant to us. Jesus came into this world as a baby, to bring peace and reconciliation to the world. That is what we are celebrating this Saviour's Day and every Christmas!
