So, this past weekend was mostly uninteresting, with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice ($51.4 million) predictably dominating over everything. Speak No Evil ($11.4 million) and Am I Racist? ($4.5 million) did okay considering their low expectations, while The Killer's Game ($2.7 million) was another Lionsgate bomb. To say Lionsgate is having a bad year would be an understatement. I can't wait to see how Megalopolis performs in roughly 2 weeks. Did you expect these results?

Alright, after two weeks of NOTHING going on, we finally have something exciting to talk about at the box office, as Beetlejuice Beetlejuice ($111 million) dominated the weekend, having the 3rd best opening of 2024 and the 2nd best opening for September (only It: Chapter One opened higher). Like Top Gun: Maverick, the 36-year-long wait did no harm to its box office potential. And after a flop-tacular Summer, Warner Bros. is set to take over the Fall, with this and Joker: Folie รก Deux. Did you expect these results?
